Rather than pleading guilty to a crime you didn't commit, you should present your case to a jury and trust that at least one of the jurists will find you not guilty

The courts are more interested in finding as many defendants
as possible guilty than they are in promoting justice.

In order for a crme to be committed there must be a victim willing to testify in court that he has been injured in some way. A legal fiction has no rights an which can be violated. 

Over 95% of all persons accused of committing a crime plead guilty to a lesser crime to avoid the possibility of being convicted of a more serious crime. The system  of plea bargaining is sends hundreds of thousands of innocent people to jail for crimes they didn't commit.  

If only those accused of violating the lives, liberty or property of others wre put on trial, I suspect that many innocent defendants would not become victims.
