According to the Constitution each state should be taxed according to their population. A state with 10% of the total population of the country would be assessed an amount equal to 10% of the Federal budget. It would be up to the states to decide how to collect the amount required from the residents (occupants), of their state.

If the central government was actually confined to Constitutional limits it could only collect money from the states to Establish Justice, provide for the Common Defense and Promote the General Welfare.

All other governmental services should be provided by the states, and the central government should only intervene in the affairs of a state when invited by the state to do so.

Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 authorizes the government of the United States to have jurisdiction over the District of Columbia ONLY. The government has no authority to tax over anyone living outside of the District of Columbia.

The government of the United States was created by the states and is supposed to be a servant of the people. The states are supposed to be the master of the federal government.

All I can say Bill is Wow!

This is wrought with problems and does not fit the grammatical form of an amendment. On top of that, many of the things you want have already been delineated in other areas of both the states constitutions and the federal constitution. Given enough time I could go over it and show you exactly where you have erred. However, due to the extensive nature of your ideas and length of this proposal of yours, it would be best to reconsider your idea that socialism can work.

Read my Lips! This WILL NEVER WORK! Your trying to walk the fence between your mind and your heart. Law does not work that way. And yours is not a properly penned amendment. The fewer the words, the better.

Thanks for trying though. If you have a more precise goal it is easier to write. Your goal is to try to make "Social" programs stay in place while eliminating any chance for that to turn into "Communism".

THIS WILL NEVER WORK! Your amendment is doomed from the start.

There was a lot of explanation that is not part of the proposed amendment.  I think that if one stays with just that part that is the proposed amendment, it is pretty solid.

It only addresses on issue and is very specific in regard to the rights of the individual and the duties and limits of the gov on all level.

The state and fed constitutions cannot be seen in the current courts and the judges will tell you this. This would for the first time bring justice into the current legislative courts.

You are welcome to copy it to an e-mail and send me some basic comments to billmay@wvi.com.

What makes you think "THEY" are going to pay any more attention to your amendment than "they" do to the current ones "they" are violating? It won't "Fix" anything. "They" will ignore it.

As things are, we have no standing to complain about injustice in the laws or courts. This would provide standing in state courts that the fed appeals and SCt could address.

Time to Repeal The 14th Amendment. Not a real long amendment proposal, but it just happens to fall in at #34.

The goal of the 14th was to grant citizenship [ of a sorts ] to a class of people that were at that time without the ability to become citizens.  It was for the negro but congress lawfully expanded its goal to all non-whites.  Under official gov policy that status has been unconstitutionally imposed also on whites [ an act of treason by the way because the gov had to declare war upon them to accomplish this ].

If you abolished the 14th, what would you do with all the millions of people that would suddenly be here but not be citizens?  Many of which now hold public office which would have to immediately step down. Some in congress and even some on the SCt.

I was thinking about amending the 14th as follows:

Citizens of the United States shall, for the application of all laws, be seen as white citizens of the state or federal area in which they have their main residence and shall have all the protections and thereby be able to exercise all the rights secured to the white citizens by their state constitution or by the federal constitution.  If their primary residence is in DC or a territory destined to become a state, their citizenship shall fully incorporate all of the first 8 of the bill of rights.

This would eliminate the application of 99.999% of fed laws in the states and it would nullify around 80% of current state laws.

If a group tried to get this passed by the states, the whole communist controlled gov would be up in arms.
