How to Take the Money Out of Politics
As long as the money from wealthy individuals and corporations is used to elect dishonest poluticians we will contunue to be exploited by the gangsters we elect.
I suggest we identify the top 10 Constitutional scholars in each of the 67 counties in Florida and put their names in a hat and draw the name of county's next representative in the state legislature. This would guarantee that every county would be eqyally represented.
If all of the candidates were equally qualified it really wouldn't matter which candidate was chosen.
This system would eliminate political parties and would take the corrupting influence of money out of politics. Being represented by 67 Constitutional Scholars rather than120 career politicians.
The current political system was created by the financial elite to control oir lives, liberty and property. The system serves the financial elite at the expense of Floridians. Currently the members of the Florida State House of Representatives are not the most knowledgeable or honorable men and women in their respective districts. They are simply potential millionaires hired by billionaires to keep us penniless. Politicians masquerade as public servants while they collectively pick our pockets for their own benefit and the bankers they represent.
As long as money is needed to fund elections, only the financial elite and their agents will have the opportunity to be elected. By selecting the best candidates in each District based on their Constitu tional knowledge rather than on how much money they have to promote their candidacy.

When I was in the VA hospital in SLC a few years ago, I witnessed first hand, the hardships the Bush admin put on them. I saw hospital personnel stressed to the max with budget cuts, layoffs, and one woman who was already overworked, being put in a supervisory position, (after they laid off others),- on top of her already overloaded position-, in tears one night, and all of this without any extra pay. It was a game of "milk them" for all they are worth, while those in DC sit on their fat asses, taking all of their wild vacations and trips, playing MR Big Shots. I have NO RESPECT for the "Corporation", and that is one of many reasons why I absolutely refuse to participate in any more of the games that the corporation comes up with. They do NOT have my support, and I will stand as a witness against the idiots in DC on judgment day..

I like your idea, but I would make it a requirement. If we choose to donate to them, that would be our choice, but do not let them think that it is owed to them!

They are free to think whatever they want as long as they don't get whatever they want. And if they even express their thoughts of "taking" as a Public Servant, instead of serving as a Public Servant, it will be time to remove them from Public Service jobs.
Maybe a more appropriate wording would have been to not let them "justly expect" to get whatever they want, nor let them be in control of administering their own pay/benefits.

I see that many are brushing over the idea and looking for a Novelty.
The novel idea started in the 1800's and carried forward until this time.
It is basically controlling the population.
Hitler did it with his Nazi Storm Troopers and Hitler Youth.
Obama is doing it with the Nazi Storm Troopers and with the Obama Youth (Or last 30 years of dumb downed children - the new math from CORE is a good example of quick dumb down for dummies).
The Bundy attack was done with the NAZI model.
Bundy and Family were attacked possibly by mercenaries hired to do the dirty work.
Take the Contract INL 12PC00121. BLM is the Federal Code for Bureau of Land Management. INL is the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL). How did we hire SAMPSON (10 Cowboys and a boss) to round up 1100 head of cows, kill many, and line up on ridges with sniper rifles aimed at the Bundy Family.
Where have all the NOVEL IDEA ROCKET SCIENTIST GONE.
INL was recently hired to provide mercinaries from Blackwater (OOPS Hillary and BILL) to go into Ukrania (3600 or so). WHY? Not our fight.
Why was INL brought into Bundy territory. OOPS - by a NOVEL IDEA of HARRY REID gaining control of the BUNDY Ranch which he needs to let Chineese cross between two sites they will own for SOLAR (OOPS Failure alrady) panel farms.
What makes all this novel is that this conversation is about 435 Congressmen who have turned their backs on the Constitution are support a NAZI Manifesto to trash, destroy, demoralize, downgrade, and otherwise destroy (The CHANGE Verb of Obama) the United States as a Republican Form of Government.
That what a NOVEL Idea really is these days.

You are not the only one feeling the weight of it. I suppose we are having to wait for the liberals (and future liberals) to learn from hard knocks, that there are reasons why our Founders established the government the way they did, and that their principals should be stuck to. If there are no serious punishments, people with little or no morals will feel free to do whatever they want if it benefits their selfish agenda.

When I was growing up, my grandfather would tell me stories that proved how logic works.
One of his stories was about a Kingdom that was having a lot of crime so the King said,
"Whoever came up with a solution that works will be greatly rewarded."
Many tried but their solutions did not work until this an Old Man said he had the solution.
He suggested to tear down all the jails and prisons and then have one jail for one person built.
Almost immediately someone committed a crime.
The Old Man said: "Put him in jail."
Very soon another committed a crime and the officers came to ask the Old Man what to do
with him to which the Old Man answered: "Kill the first one and put this one in jail!"
That ended the crime in the Kingdom.

A most wonderful idea ! But might add an additional stipulation or 2 ? No BAR lawyers, & I think our "Commander-in-Chief" should have SOME military experience (at least) when voting at the presidential level.
