Are Constitutional Violations a Crime?

If a Senator or Representative votes in favor of legislation that violates provisions of the Constitution and/or the Bill of Rights, has that individual committed a crime and should they be punished or removed from office?

Member's of both houses are guilty of treason ; For example one senator or house member may vote against gun control and turn right around and vote for the N.D.A.A. ; I have been watching this play out now for five year's .  When any congress person votes against the constitution they should be made to read the ORIGINAL DOCUMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY and all that persons votes nullified. Then if it happens again that persons citizenship should be revoked and either they most move to another country or continually consider themselves as an alien with no legal rights in this country save the right of life.

Did anyone consider what mechanisms are in place to enforce the crime of treason?

Who does it depend on?

Will the guilty self-incriminate?

Are our observations just a matter of opinion versus someone else's?

Is this kind of behavior really that serious?

Do not mistake what I'm saying. The behavior in D.C. would never be tolerated by our Founders. It would get corrected in a flash.

We can pontificate and write lots but are we changing anything to the good? Certainly it is necessary to know what the others think so we can work to the good.

What has been missed for years is that this is designed to get fixed IN THE PRIMARIES. Not the General.

  The biggest problem I see with removing any person in State of Federal office is that it takes so long for a recall vote to take place. It can be done of course and has but just takes to long.especially with the Fed.

  Maybe there is a way to charge them all or separate through the courts. That's if an honest one could be found. Obama ignored the court and got away with it so it probably wouldn't do any good. to try .

Plus the time away from fighting other top issues to refocus our energies on this would guarantee those issues get approved to our great dismay.

They were all guilty when they allowed obama to swear in the office of president knowing darned well he is not an American citizen. They continue to break the law on a regular basis. Fire them all. Jail most of them.

If a Congressman takes the Oath of Office. to uphold the Constitution and breaks that oath, he/she is not suitable to serve and commits a crime against the Constitution, the Country and the Voters. By all means, the voters in the State represented should call for their immediate resignation and demand that the State Attorney General file criminal charges against them.

He has not necessarily commited a crime, but he violates his solemn oath to defend and protect the constitution.   It is an immoral imperative that he be replaced for his actions.
