The government of the united States was created to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people. The Constitution was written to govern the government, not the people.

Representatives of the states wrote the Constitution and the government of the united States was to be the servant of the states and the people.

The most powerful branch of the government was to be the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate was responsible to represent the states and the House was to represent the people. In order to insure that the people would be in control of House they established that there would be one representative for every 30,000 people.

In 1787 the framers of the Constitution proposed a first amendment to the Constitution that would guarantee people would be adequately represented in the House of Representatives. They feared that if the people were not properly represented in the House, the legislative power would shift from people to an oligarchy of rich and powerful individuals.

In 1929 Congress passed a law limiting representation in the House to just 435 members. This legislation made it possible tor the financial elite to seize control of the House of Representatives and disenfranchise the people.

This amendment was the first of twelve amendments ratified by Congress on Marcy 25. 1789. These amendments were then submitted to the states for their ratification. The first and second proposed amendment failed to be ratified by three fourths of the states, but the third thru twelfth were successfully ratified. The originally proposed first amendment was ratified by 11 of the 15 states and fell one vote short of being added to the Bill of Rights.

In order to  reclaim control of the House of Representatives we need to 27 more states to ratify an amendment which has been waiting in the wings for the past 226 years.

The originally proposed second amendment was finally ratified in 1992 and became the 27th Amendment to the Constitution.

The 435 members of the House of Representatives to not represent 99% of the people they work for the 1% who donate the money to get them elected. The billionaires turn candidates into millionaires in exchange for their support.

Today all legislative power is vested in the hands of 435 politicians and if the originally proposed amendment is ratified we would have over 6,000 statesmen representing the people.

The men and women elected to Congress spent an average of $1,600,000 to get elected and the money used to fund their elections came from less than 1% of the people. The only people who can afford to run for Congress are those at the top of the financial pyramid or those who are willing to sell their souls to the devil to get elected.

The founders felt that a ratio of 1 representative for every 50,000 would provide the people with adequate representation. Today the average Congressman represents over 700,000 people. If we had 6,000 representatives of the people rather than 435 politicians representing the Wall Street Bankers and Corporations we would be far better off.
