Broken Promises

Politicians are good at making promises, but rarely are these promises kept. They tell the voters what they think they want to hear and hope they will forget the promises made which are not kept.

It seems like voters have a very short memory and tend to forgive their favorite candidates who lie to them in order to get elected. Once elected they take an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and none of them honor their oath.

When you or I tell a lie or violate a contract we are held accountable, but when  a Congressman or woman tells a lie, it is the norm.
