What is Religion?

A philosophy or ideology that teaches individuals to love one another and promotes peace and is called a religion. An ideology that promotes violence, hatred and intolerance is not a religion, but is a political ideology masquerading as a religion.

I recently watched a video where the presenter suggested that

1) All religions are true

2) None of the religions are true

3) There is only one true religion.

I am of the opinion all religions were created by man and all of them contain both truth and error. The followers of religious denominations all believe they are members of the one true religion.

Our founding fathers felt that each individual had a God given right to decide for themselves which religion to embrace or reject.

As a student of law in general terms, the concept of Sharia Law is familiar to me.  In short, I plan no visits to those nations where it is at the top of the political food chain. 

A far greater threat to America than Sharia Law, however, is CANON LAW.  Of the total number of people in this nation capable of implementing either, those adherents to Mohammed-ism have only captured a scant few seats in our legislative assemblies.  By contrast, the number of professing Catholics who have arisen to positions of authority in our nation is, in a word, astonishing.

Catholics are adherents of Canon Law, and every tenet of our American (including state) Bills of Rights have been anathematized by Roman church councils.  For a bit of interesting World History on that subject (and some periphery on Anti-Christ), see HERE.

This current slight-of-hand (making Sharia Law the boogeyman, while hiding the true nature of the rulers of America) should come as no real shocker.  Keep watching THIS, and we will give you THIS while you are distracted.  Nothing new in that. 

Several years ago I did the research on the number of ranking Catholics in our government. If you want to see that composition, I will send you the list (kick me an e-mail -- no sense posting hundreds of names and religions in this blog)

Knowing that every one of the 190+ dioceses in America is actively running the underground railroad of immigration from Latin countries will make sense to any who have seen the writings of the Fathers and Bishops of the Latin Church.  The goal is the Latinization of this nation, plus or minus very little. 

With Knights of Malta and Jesuit-educated people sitting at the top of all three branches of government, is it any wonder nothing happens in policy change toward immigration?  Replace Nancy Pelosi (Catholic) with John Boehner (Catholic), and policy (immigration, trade, military, you name it) stays the same -- regardless of party.

The Wikipedia article on “Catholic Church in America” explains how that maxim has been accomplished: "There has never been a Catholic religious party in the United States, either local, state or national, similar to Christian Democratic parties in Europe and Latin America. Since the election of the Catholic John F. Kennedy as President in 1960, Catholics have split about 50-50 between the two major parties. On social issues the Catholic Church takes strong positions against abortion, which was partly legalized in 1973 by the Supreme Court, and same-sex marriage, which is currently legal in six states. The Church has allied with Protestant evangelicals on these issues."

Of course, this all flows from the pair of Church Councils, known as "Trent" and "Vatican II"  The "faithful" are to use their positions in the furtherance of the edicts of the Vatican.  We now have a 6-3 Catholic dominated supreme Court.  Ranking posts in congressional and state legislative committees are headed by Catholics.  The Vice President (who controls legislation in Congress) is a Catholic.  Heads of executive departments come from the same government training academies (Georgetown, Loyola, etc.) that have been Catholic institutions from their inception.

In sum, Sharia Law is bad.  I want no part of it.  But the greater threat, right now, is Canon Law!  And I want no part of it either.  Freedom to own a bible is extinguished.  Freedom to preach without license of the pope is extinguished.  Freedom of speech is suppressed.  Freedom of thinking differently from the approved version of things is extinguished.  In my opinion, Canon Law is far worse than Sharia Law -- and the bad news is that there are HUNDREDS of people elected to Congress, state legislatures, and appointed to positions of authority in our banks, executive and judicial branches of government, etc. CAPABLE OF IMPLEMENTING IT RIGHT NOW! 

Ever wonder why the supreme Court won't overturn earlier decisions that banned bible reading in public schools?  Look a the composition of the Court, and realize this is the same wonderful "religion" that brought us the tongue screw and burning at the stake for possessing a bible.  Ohh!

By the way, Keith -- not sure where you obtained your definition of "religion" -- but I prefer the biblical explanation (Geneva Bible):

Jas 1:25-27  But who so looks in the perfect Law of liberty, and continues therein, he not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem religious, and refrains not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion & undefiled before God, even the Father, is this, to visit the fatherless, and widows in their adversity, and to keep himself unspotted of the world.

How far we have departed from "pure religion" in this nation (and virtually all others)...

In fact, Popery is not a religion at all; and it is a sad delusion to suppose, that a mere difference of creed is all that exists between Protestants and Papists. Popery is a political conspiracy to subjugate empires, kingdoms, thrones, and states, to one tyrant, "who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he, as God, sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" (2 Thess. ii. 4). To accomplish this political purpose, his agents assume a priestly authority, and arrogate to themselves the power to save or to damn souls. Thousands of their infatuated vassals believe this, and, consequently, dare not refuse to do and say anything and everything which these vested wretches command. They wear the name of Christianity, as Satan transforms himself into an angel of light, to deceive (2 Cor. ii. 14). They are his ministers, and not Christ's; and they are going out "to deceive the nations," in order to put all people, all power, and all property yea, and every man's conscience and life, under their despotic sway; and will Englishmen will Christians, submit to this monster?

A House Divided.

But this is not all. What is the present state of Protestantism? Oh, I sigh at the very inquiry! If I look at it in the national hierarchy of England, I see it "a house dived against itself." Three distinct parties are found within its pale; one party is already become Popish, and openly advocates the old carnal heresy of baptismal regeneration, and couples it with the blasphemous pretension to priestly absolution. These have only to acknowledge the authority of the Roman pontiff to complete their apostasy! Another party, half evangelical, have set up the Popish idol of free-will on the dark mountain of universal redemption, in the desert of carnal reason, like Nebuchadnezzar's image in the plain of Dura, expecting all men to worship it (Dan. Iii. 1); and a third party, a despised few”against whom the door to preferment is shut are "valiant for the truth upon the earth;" and yet, strange to tell, these children all claim one mother, and each thinks himself most like his parent! Will not the enemy take advantage of this? Methinks I see him grin with pleasure in the anticipation of bringing to desolation the "kingdom which is thus divided against itself" (Matt. xii. 25).

Universal redemption baptismal regeneration apostolic succession and priestly absolution, are four main pillars of Popery; and all these are now publicly advocated under the name of Protestantism. Is it not, then, too true, that there is not so much difference between them as there once was? But let it be remembered, that all the concession is on the side of nominal Protestants, and that Popery still maintains its obstinate adherence to all its obnoxious and soul-destroying doctrines; and it is to be feared, that the progressive defection of modern professors will soon glide them down into the lap of the mother of harlots; or, to change the figure, confederate them with the conspiracy of Rome to slay the witnesses of God.

If I turn to the body of Protestant Dissenters, I see no brighter shades in this gloomy picture, unless the unholy alliance of Arians, Socinians, Deists, and Evangelicals, can cheer a Christian's mind! The man who fears God shrinks back with horror, when he sees professing Christians absorbed in political intrigue associated with Jesuits and Infidels in public clamour, and quitting the sanctity of the Church of God, for the company of profane rivals in worldly ambition. And what will a true Christian say, if he sees a professor of divinity wearing D. D. Attached to his name, occupying hustings, with the picture of a mermaid over his head, advocating the cause of infidelity? Oh, the dismal catalogue of crime perpetrated under the disguise of Christianity is appalling to every Christian mind. I sicken as I touch upon these things, and hasten away from them with disgust. Catholicism is one step better than islam in my opinion but only a small step.  I expect to find that a catholic pope or cardinal turns out to be the anti-Christ!!!!!

Wow! I got off lighter than I thought. So let me stir a little more.

Adolph, like most Roman Catholics was a nominal Catholic at best. There was no attempt to convert anyone. His motives were to rid his country of an evil influence and to restore pride and patriotism to his down- trodden nation. Where you are right, Aaron, as many, connived with the Popes and prelates for personal power and gain.

However, the Roman Catholic church murdered and starved over a million French Huguenots who wouldn't convert in the 16 to 17 hundreds. They fled all over Europe for refuge.

Jerry Brown, a Jesuit was elected governor of California twice in his youth and 40 years later. You are right; there are 6 Catholics and 3 Jews on our Supreme Court. Oh, bye the way, it was Louis XVI in the late 1700's who restored some Protestant rights in France, not a reformed Catholic church.

THE ONE WAY PATH TO PEACE

Presently, the achievements of scientific insight are resurrecting beyond the process of Nature and the graces of spirituality are descending to a dangerous abyss.

In fact, the definitions of all the leading world religions are based on their contemporary needs, to help human beings to evolve under Natural processes on the basis of peace and solidarity, not to obtain the narcissus and terrestrial bliss among the rot of massacre.

Our money and gun power are not potential enough to combat the thoughts of terrorism that conceals their sins behind religious narcissism that are enthralled in mazes of terrestrial and political issues.

To prevent the rise of terrorism, we’ll have to clarify the roots of faith and the facts of the materialism disgracing all believers and atheists alike. Till now, we are destroying the embodiment of terrorism, ignoring its brutal ideology still invincible before the entire world.

It had always been lethal to write or address in favor or against the institutionalized faith of human beings divided by several religious and political structures. RELIGIOUS DEFINITIONS…ON PATH TO PEACE OR WAR ?

This is one of the biggest questions of this current period that would provide a great opportunity to the world community to explore beyond their faith and belief, following both scientific and theological insight to secure the morality and safety of future generations.

But, we have already separated the existence of God in mazes of religious definitions, and ignored the true facts of the religions that are navigating our lives toward heaven or hell.

Faith of an individual person evolves on the basis of their inherited system of thoughts and genetic nature, within a tendency to fulfill the terrestrial desires. It is the genetic nature of mankind that forces them to utilize whatever they have innovated to secure their own physical world, eliminating the real potential of spiritual graces.

At this rising period of science (mind), the sacred potential of theology (spirit) has fallen down below to its dangerous point. Thus all the leading religious thinkers will have to understand the excellence of this big question and bring all the religious definitions in one idea for the perpetuation of the basis of peace and solidarity.

Regarding this issue, there are large possibilities for the world literate community to bring all the religious groups and non religious groups together by revealing the philanthropic aspects of this big question as a principal of “New spiritual information”.

According to both scientific and theological points of view in one idea, our religious tenets and definitions are the basis of our faith. It is potential enough to civilize the existence of human beings on the basis of peace and humanity, but the origin (incarnations) of religions are based on its contemporary needs, which is now existing as invisible boundaries separating our existence according to our inherited system of thoughts. Whenever our genetic nature has tried to evolve beyond the natural process, it always cripples the verve of religious definitions, creating the basis of war.

Our steady belief or faith, that unable to obtain the terrestrial bliss from religious teachings and spiritual graces has emerged as non religious groups following the potential of science (mind) after neglecting the graces of theology (spirit).

To achieve the graces of religious definitions for peace, the world community needs an exploration following both scientific and theological insight, to unify all our religious teachings in one idea, to uproot the basis of religious conflicts, without disgracing the faith of any mankind.

Though we have lots of religious groups and organizations leading us on a path to peace according to its fame, excellence and generosity, but the separation of their principal, God revelation and exploration are the obstacles between religious and non religious groups seeking to perpetuate the basis of peace.

Even the present dubieties from religious points of view that emerged from political complexities and communal conflicts will never equate the non religious groups to work beyond their premeditated tenets. Within these circumstances, we will have to explore for our leadership in ministry and religious thinkers, to equip all the religious complexities facts within one idea. It will help the world leadership to approach all the religious and non religious groups for the perpetuation of the basis of peace and solidarity.

Though the definitions and languages of all of our religious and non religious groups are quite different from each other, but their meaning is based on a single view and that is only philanthropy. If the true facts of all of our religions are framed in one idea in the form of literature according only to its philanthropic points of view, there would be an opportunity for all religious followers to stand together with non religious groups to prevent the issues of war.

It’s an aspect of literature which even exists as Holy books that enthralls our mind and spirit right up from our childhood creating the basis of our faith according to our culture and philosophical tradition.

It is not possible for science and an individual religion to equip our understanding of the realities of human nature and its physical world, which might evolve our morality and faith to change our inherited system of thought and genetic nature according to the basic needs of this current period.
