The Constitution is a Rulebook

In the beginning of human history the father was responsible to provide for and protect his family. Groups of families united in order to provide a for their mutual defense and the common welfare of the entire community,

According to the laws of nature and nature's God everyone was endowed by their Creator with the same rights and responsibilities. 

When the power of the people is transferred to a ruler, the natural rights of the people are jeopardized. Instead of protecting the lives, liberty and property of the people, the power vested in the hands of our rulers has been used to enslave the people.

The people soon discovered that when men have power they tend to use that power to benefit themselves at the expense of their subjects.

For thousands of years the right to rule was reserved to a relatively small number of families and rulers claimed that their authority came directly from God, It was until the Age of Enlightenment that the people came to realize that people had rights that were granted to them by their Creator and that the Kings and Queens governed by the consent of the people.

The United States was created to be a commonwealth of free men and women where the sole purpose of government was to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people/ A Constitution was written to limit the ability of the government to abuse the rights of the people.

The Constitution was an agreement between the states and the government they created to secure the rights of the people. It was the responsibility of the states and the people to hold the government officials accountable to the contract.

Due to the collective ignorance and apathy of the people the government that was created to protect our rights has become a tyrannical agency controlled by an oligarchy of powerful Wall Street bankers and corporations.

We can not trust government officials to do their job if we allow them the opportunity to do whatever they want without being held accountable/
