Even though up to 87% of the American people support a Constitutional Amendment to establish Congressional Term limits it is  highly unlikely that two thirds of the 535 members of the House and Senate would  vote to propose such an amendment to the states.

If Congress fails to propose an amendment that is supported by nearly 90% of their constituents their is a solution. If 34 states pass a resolution in their state legislature to call for an Article V Convention to establish erm limits for Congress.

If 38 states vote to ratify the proposed amendment we can establish term limits without Congressional approval.

So far 14 States have applied to Congress to call for an Article V Convention to propose an amendment to establish Congressional term limits.

Fourteen states have passed the U.S. Term Limits single-subject application for an Article V convention:
Additionally, 20 other states have passed multi-subject applications that include language concerning congressional term limits (such as through the Convention of States movement). A total of 34 state applications are required to trigger an Article V constitutional convention. [1, 2]
