In the Preamble to the Constitution, the Framers of the Constitution stated: "We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain, and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
The Founding Fathers knew that in order to restrain the government and to prevent the government from redistributing the wealth of the productive members of society to reward the less productive inividuals
The proper role of government is to protect the rights of the people not to provide people with benefits paid for with other people's money. The government can not give somethng of value from one person until they must take it from someone else.
Using tax dollars to buy the votes of those who benefit from redistribution o wealth is simply legalized theft.
muThe government must be limited to “promoting the general welfare” rather than providing benefits for some at the expense of others .
If the government has the lawful authority to take the property of those who earned it and to give it to those who did not earn it, the government becomes a gigantic crime syndicate.
Our Founders wanted just one class of people with equal rights and responsibilities. They wanted everyone to be equal under the law and did not want the government to have the authority to reward one group of people over another.
