The foundation of our Constitutional Republic was based on adherence to a set of sound primciples. , Gradually over time these principles have abandoned and we have suffered the inevitible consequences.
The signers of the Declaration of Indepemdence all held that our individual rights came to us from our Creator and that all men were equal in his sight.
In the process of writing the Constitution the founders made a tragic mistske when they allowed the institution of slavery to be sanctioned in the Constitution.
The belief in Liberty and Equality were supposed to be the foundation of our Republic amd there were five other principles the founders felt were essential.
The restoration of the the following principles is necessary for us to be able to theConstitution.
Imdividual Rights: Our rights have become privileges due to a dysfunctuianl Supreme Court that renders opinions that violate the principels and original intebt of our founding fathers.
Limited Government:We no longer have a government that is limited, we now have a Congress that exceeds its Constitutional authority and does whatever they want. Since 1789 Congress jas [assed pver 30,000 laws and/or resultions most of whixh are unnecessary and improper
Check and Balances With the direct election of senators we have lost the checks and balances of our bicameral legislatire lgislature and we now have a unicameral legislatire with two houses representing the Wall Street bankers and corporations.
Republicanism: Our Repiblican has become a democracy where the will of the majority trumps the rule of law.
Federalism: Our Federal government no longer exists, it jas been replaced with a National government,
It is the responsibility of our public servants to homor they oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and it is the responsibility of "We the People" to hold them accountable.
The Price of Liberty is eternal vibilance and we must realize that with our rights come the responsubility know our rights before we can defend them,
The Constitution is a recipe for liberty, equality and Justice if we adhere to the sound principles upon which our nation was fiunded we will enjoy perpetual peace, prosperity and freedom.
