Elected Officials that break their solemn promice to to preserve, protec and defend the Constitution forgeit their right toseve in any office of public trust and/or compemsation.
The phrase "no person shall be a senator" is the beginning of the qualifications for U.S. senators as outlined in the Constitution, which state that a person must be at least 30 years old, a U.S. citizen for at least nine years, and an inhabitant of the state they represent when elected. It is also a part of the 14th Amendment, which disqualifies individuals who have engaged in insurrection or rebellion after taking an oath to support the Constitution from holding office.
