In 1870 Florida had 2 Congressman to representing an average of approximately 93,500 inhabitants Florida currently has 28 Congressional Districts with an average of nearly 800,000 residents.
If Floridians were as well represented today,as we were in 1870 we would have 233 Comgressional Districts imstead of just 28.
If the originally proposed First Amendment had been ratified Florida would have one representative for every 50,000 or a total of over 400 Congressional Representatives.
