Does the Bible Condone Slavery

The meaning of words change over time, In the American history books it says that a slave was considered property just like a cow or a horse, but in the Bible a slave was more like a servant. Unlike African slaves  who were bought and sold, the slaves of the Bible often benefitted from their service.

Today, there is a new form of slavery created when a person borrows money. The debtor becomes a slave to the lender. We call them debt slaves!
