I think that we all agree that our government is broken and that the three branches of government are all bearing corrupt fruit. They have abandoned the Constitutional road map and have assumed power that was not delegated to them in the Constitution. Our country is in serious trouble and is on the verge of destruction.
Up until now, we the people have been spectators and have allowed those representing us to have complete and total control of the direction we are headed. Trusting Congress with our financial affairs would be like hiring a thirsty alcoholic with the keys to your liquor cabinet.
Believe it or not, there are many people that think that it would be dangerous for us to discuss our problems and potential solutions. They would rather remain on the road to destruction than explore possible solutions. Their position is like that of a cancer patient refusing to consider using chemotherapy because they are afraid that they might lose their hair.
It would be far more dangerous to stay on our current course than it would be for us to consider following the instructions given to us by the framers of the Constitution. The idea to have a conference to discuss our nations problems is not a new idea. It was introduced in Philadelphia in the summer of 1787. It was written in to the Constitution as a method to save our nation when Congress became corrupt and dysfunctional. I believe that this day has come and that as stated in the Declaration of Independence, it is our right and our duty to alter or abolish our government if it were to become the author of tyranny. The solution is hidden in plain sight. This conference that I have been speaking about is described in Article V of the Constitution for the United States.
