Out of the nearly four million people livimg in the 13 colonied in 1788 less than 1 percent of the people gave their consent to adopt the Constitution. An oligarchy consisitng of wealthy whire men gave their consent, while the voice of the overwhelming majrity was not heard.
Governments derive their just power from the consent of the people and derive their unjust power from the consent of legislatures of men. We give our consent when we obey unjust laws and pay taxes. In order to resist tyranny, we must withdraw our consent and refuse to comply with unconstitutional legislation.
If the Constitution wouild have been strictly enforced the problems we face today could have been prevented. Allowinh five of nine politically unaccountable lawyers to defend the Constitutition would be like trusting a thirsty alcoholic with your credur card.
