Congressional Apportionment 2022
The population of the United States in the 1930 census was 122,775,046 and there were 435 Congressional Districts with an average of 282,241 inhabitants in each district.
Rather than freezing the number of Congressional Districts they should have limited the size of districts to no more than 282,241.
Had they mandated that all states be equally represented, today we would have 1,187 equally sized Congressional Districts instead of only 435.
Freezing the number of seats has prevented the states from being equally represented.
Congress made a mistake in 1929 and correct the mistake in 2022 by repealing the Congressional Apportionment Act to create the equal representation of all of the states.
