The Constitution was written to creat a government that would prevent  a democracy from benffitting the few at the expense of the many.

A government where the important decisons could be made based on the opinions of a majority gives  the financial elite the power to exploit the masses.

By allowing the people to vote that are ignorant, uninformed and morally bankrupy we give potential tyrants the opportunity to rob us of our lives, liberty and property.

Voting should not  a right  it, is a responsibility that is reserved for virtuoous well informed men and women.

Giving a ballot to an ignorant voter is akin to giving a hand gun to a child. When the majority is morally bankrupt it is easier for voters to be  deceived by career politicians motivated by greed and the lust for power. 

Politicians are like wolves in sheep's clothing 

Direct democrtic elections are popularity contests where the voters get to choose the candidate whois the lesser of two evils.

If the voters are ignorant and uninformed they often choose the nost popular and least qualified candidate.
