Today the average Major Leaguer makes $3.4 million dollars a year.Willie Mays earned $1,825,000 in his 22 year career.

Today's players are paid nearly twice as much in a year than Willie earned in his entire career.

At that time there were 400 players on 16 teams that were paid an average of $16,533 per year,

Today, Mike Trout is being paid over $34 million dollars a year which is more than twice as much as all of the players earned in 1958.

Mike Trout signed a contract for $34.1 million dollars per year. He earns more than 50 brain surgeons.

If you are a baseball fan, I think the bubble is about to burst. The players union is killing the goose that has been laying the golden eggs.

The current ownership has wasted tens of millions of dollars on players that have not performed, The fans need to consider purchasing the Giants.

The San Francisco Giants have an estimated value of 2.85 billion dollars. If 100,0000 fans each invested $285, they would enough money to purchase the team.
