A Democracy is a Lynch Mob if the will of the majority gets what they want, The founders understood that in a democracy the life, liberty and property of individuals coould not be protected from the tyranny of a majority.

They wanted to be governed the rule of law rather than the opimons of a majority/ They believed men should be govermed by the Natural Laws of God and not by the unnatiral laws from the legislatures of men.
