Entering the United States illegally is a Federal crime . This crime is classdied as a misdemeanor that has a five year statute of liitations.

Anyone foreign born person that has lived in the United States illegally for  more than five years that has not committed a felony and has obeyed our laws paid state and federal taxs should be granted status as a lawful permanent resident.with all of the rights. privileges and immunities as ful fledged citizens of the United States.
