Sitting Bull was born in 1831 and became a citizen of the Unted States1868 at age of 37 with the ratification of the 14th Amendment.

Section 1

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Congress did not recognize the citizenship of Native Americans until Congress passed the Indian Citizenship Act in 1924. 

It took Congress 56 years to finally acknowledge that Native Americans had the same rights as every other U.S. citizen.

U.S. Presidents signed 368 treaties that were ratified by the senate.  In1871 Congress decided to revoke the treaties in order to re-acquire millions of acres of land, that they had promised to give to the 574 Native American Tribes.

When Jefferson agreed to purchase the Louisiana Territory from France, he agreed to purchase land that France didn't own.

The Constitution grants to the government the responsibility to repel invasions, but not the authority to engage in wars of aggression.

All citizens have a natural right to defend their lives, liberty and property, but do not have a right to kill innocent men. women and children in order to acquire stolen property
