Your dog needs a license and so does your doctor, dentist and lawyer. Ssockbrokers, insurance agents, accountants and school teachers are all need to prove they are qualified to do their job.
In order to serve in Congress the Senators and Representativs should be required to have a Master's Degree in Constitutional Studies.
To be elgible to run for offiRepresentatives must take an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and in order to do their job so they must hey must know and understand the Constitution and the principles upon which it was writtean.
The Constitution is an Employment Contractt between an the people and tehr elcted officials, The Congresmen and women are the employees and we the people are their employers, It is the Federal employees are required to take a solemn oath to honor and obey the Constitution and it is our responsibility to hold them accountable.
Representatives of the States created Federal government where the states and the people had rights and the Federal government had privileges. After the Civil War the states lost their sovereignty and the people's became subject to the jurisdiction of the Federal government.
The number one job of Congress is to defend the Constituionand the number one responsbility is hold the government officials accountable.
The Federal government primary function is to provide for our commo defense and to deal in foreign affairs. All other legislative matters should be handled by the legislatures of the states.e

The powers granted to Congress are a short list of delegated powers that i are clearly defined in Article I Section 8, Any power that is not listed is a power reserved to the states and to the people..
The Constitution defines what tCongress can and can not do. The Constitutionressmen can not possibly honor their oath if tdon't undertand the principles of the Constituion and the original intent of the men who wrote it.
Giving a just anyyone the right to serve the public capacity would be like hiring a chimpanzee or a guinea pig to perform do brain surgery on one of your children.
I would like to propose that Candidates running for Congress should obtain a Master's Degreee in Constitutional Studies.

Handing a ballot to ignorantt and uninformed voter is like giving a hand gun to a child.hmen and women to vote turns elections into popularity contests is like handing a gun where candidates with the most money usuallyget the most votes.
