Nimarata Nikki Randhawa was the daughter of Ajit Singh Randhawa. He was born in India in. He and his wife immigrated to Canada in 1964 Nikki was born in South South Carolina in 1972 making her a citizen of the United States but because her father was not yet a citizen she does not qualify as a Natural Born Citizen.

As a citizens she is eligible to run for any political office in the United States except for President or Vice President.

The Secretary of State in each of the 50 states has a responsibility to determine that all candidates for the presidency meet the following qualifications.

1. Be at least 35 years old
2. Have been 14 years a resident of the United States
3. Be a Natural Born Citizen.

Sir William Blackstone, (born July 10, 1723, London, England—died February 14, 1780, Wallingford, Oxfordshire), English jurist, whose Commentaries on the Laws of England, 4 vol. (1765–69), is the best-known description of the doctrines of English law. The work became the basis of university legal education in England and North America. He was knighted in 1770.

According to Sir William Blackstone the pre eminent English Jurist a child inherits their citizenship from their father. The location and the citizenship status of the mother are irrelevant.
