In the Dred Scott decision the Supreme Court ruled that the slaves were not entitled to the rights afforded to white American and they were not people, they were property.

The Fugitive Slave Law passed by Congress required the people to help in returnng runaway slaves to their owners. If President Lincoln was really interested in freeing the slaves, why didn't he have Congress repeal the Fugitive Slave Law?

Without the support of the government, slavey could not survive. Rge so called war between the states was actually the war against the states. Lincoln's hidden agenda was to obtain the moral high ground by portraying the war as an effort to end slavery.

His real agenda was to create a new form of government with the states the state and the people losing their sovereignty to a new an all powerful central government.
