Is it a crime when an individual kills his next door neighbor and burns down his house?

In a land of liberty, equality and justice when a crime is committd the  the guilty party need to be held accountable?

In the summer of 1921 in the city of Greenwood, Oklahoma there were 1,256 homes and businesses of black Americans were destroyed and at least 26 black Americans were murdered as a result of mob violence.

The individuals responsible consisted on thosands of members of the KKK and other white supremacists fueled by racial hatred.

All of men responsible for the carage are dead and buried and can not be held accountable.

It would be unjust to punish children and grandchildren for the crimes of their ancestors by requiring them to provide reparations for crimes committed over 100 years ago.

Until now the crimes that took place in the  suberbs of Tulsa, Oklahoma have been swept under the carpets.

While we can not restore the lives and property lost in Tulsa , but we can acknowledge and apologize for the crimes committed by previous generations.

By failing to take reponsbibility, we can not expect the ancestors of the victims to forgive and forget the crimes of our kindred dead.
