The Constitution was not perfect. It sanctioned the institution of slavery, denied women the right to vote and authorized the government to steal the property that belonged to the Native Americans.

Some of the flaws in the Constitution have been corrected by the ratification of of the the the 14th, 15th and 19th Amendments, but  many other changes have come as a result of the misinterpretation of clauses in the Constitution.

Government officials have taken an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution have violated their oath and have abandoned the original intent of the founders by misinterpreting it.

According to the words of Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence we have a right to alter of abolish the government if it fails to protect the God given rights of the people.

The Constitution has been altered by the President, Congress and the Supreme Court by the misinterpretation of the Necessary and Proper Clause, the General Welfare Clause, the Supremacy Clause and the Interstate Commerce Clause. The misinterpretation of these clauses has turned a government with a few well defined powers into a government with virtually unlimited powers.
