States Have a Duty to Defend the Constitution

The legislators in all of the States have taken an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and have a right and responsibility to declare Federal legislation that violates the Constitution null and void.

The exercise of undelegated authority is a violation of their oath is an act of treason. Many states nullified the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 and many other states have nullified Federal Laws prohibiting the use of Marijuana.

The Federal government does not have the Constitutional authority to pass legislation on any subject unless it has been specifically delegated to them.

Since abortion, marriage and involvement in public education are not mentioned in the Constitution, any legislation on these topics is reserved to the states and prohibited to the federal government..

The states are supposed to be the guardians of our liberty and in order to secure our rights the legislatures of the states must have the courage to do what is right. Legislators must choose to represent the people and not the interests of the Wall Street bankers and corporations.

I believe that every city or town with a population of 30,000 or more should have at least one Congressional Representative
