Science and Religion

The purpose of science is to determine what is and what is not true. Religion, on the other hand seeks to define what is true based on faith. After years of observation, we have determined that many things that we have been taught are not true. The earth is not flat and it is not in the center of the Universe.

Approaching questions with a preconceived notion that you already have the answer stifles an individuals ability to ponder things that are unknown. People with an open mind have a much greater capacity to find the truth than those that believe the doctrines promoted by their government and their churches.

When people accept the doctrines promoted by the establishment they are much easier to control than those that think and act for themselves. The government want the people to obey the laws written by the rulers and the Churches want their followers to accept their doctrines without questioning them.
