Liberty or Tyranny

All proposed laws either promote liberty or tyranny. Any law that seeks to control people robs the people of their liberty. A just law should protect the rights of the people by punishing those that violate the rights of others.

Just laws do not protect people, they protect the God given rights of the people. Individually we have a right and a responsibility to defend ourselves and our loved ones. When the rights of individuals are violated a crime has been committed. When a crime has been committed there must always be a victim and the individual accused of the crime has the right to cross examine the witnesses against him.
