The rich people take advantage of those who are less fortunate by loaning them money and charging them interest. In the process the rich getnticjer and the poor get  poorer.

The practice of loaning monry and charging interest is known as usury. Jews were forbidden by Mooiac Law to loan money and charge interest in transactions with other Jews, but were not prevented from charging interest in money loaned to non Jews,

.As a result the Jewish bankers became fabulously wealthy as a result of their monopoly of loaning money and charging interest..

Gradually over time the Catholic Church was forced to soften its position on usuryin order to be able compete with the Jewish bankers.

Usury was and still is a sin and is as immaral today as it was when Jesus over tirned the tables of the money lender in the temple.
