Greed is fueled by a desire to accumulate other people's property without paying a fair price for it. Greed is based on the premise that getting what one wants is more important than means which are used to achieve it. A greedy person believes that the ends justify the means.

There is nothing wrong with a righteous desire to accumulate material wealth as long as ethical means are employed in the process. Wealth is the reward one receives from the service he renders to his fellow man.
When unethical men, women, corporations and governments use their power to extort the property and freedom of individuals they are stealing the rights that were granted to them by their Creator.

Whenever wealth is accumulated by unethical means it is an ill gotten gain. When our products and services are voluntarily exchanged for money, both the buyer and the seller are treated fairly.

When people are forced to enter into to a contract, they lose their freedom to choose. The imposition of a contract without an individuals voluntary consent provides tyrants with the ability to steal the property and the freedom of the people.

When a merchant has a monopoly on a particular product or service and the you forced to pay their price, you must engage in a unethical transaction. When ethical means are employed to accumulate wealth it is not greed, but when someone uses unethical means to accumulate what they want it is greed.

An ethical individuals loves people and uses money while politicians lovea money and uses people.

"Greed is based on the premise that getting what one wants is more important than means which are used to achieve it. A greedy person believes that the ends justify the means."

Many patriots want to be rid of what's its name by any means necessary, does that make US greedy?!

Money and material wealth cannot go hand in hand, unlike the chicken and egg or brick and mortar money is a forced contract on We The People ...because it's a predisposition for the few mathematically inclined by the fewer inheritance predisposed, so money makes money.

When wealth is based on the premise of money, or money is used on the premise of getting wealthy, then it is a wealth based on greed ...I don't think the word "addiction" existed when The Scriptures were written, for "love" in the context of evil DO NOT go hand in hand.

Keith, the rant does not make greed bad, you only explained the difference between good people and criminals.

There is nothing wrong with the desire to obtain material wealth as long as you do so while employing ethical means. Greed involves the use of unethical means to accumulate wealth at the expense of others.

If your desire is righteous and your means are ethical the pursuit of wealth is not greed.

If a person is motivated by the love of money, he is greedy. He is not greedy if he seeks to accumulate wealth by ethical means.
