The Kings and Queens of Medievil Europe had unlimited war powers which led to perpetual wars. Oyr foubfing fathers wanted to create a nation that would promote peace, prosperity and freedom , onlt engage in opncharyerozed ion  our new nation ;  power to wage wars of aggression and The Constitution grants a list of 5 delegated powers to the President and other powers that are confirmed  to be necessary and peoper by Congress..  The President is the Commander in Chief of the army and navy when he is called into service by a Cingressional declaration of war. TThe President has the responsibiluty to defend our nation against invasions , but does not have the constitutional aithoruty to invade foreign countries, vecause of a real or imagined threat. Since the end od World War II the United States has invaded at least 50 countires and dropped over 300,000 vbombs in undeclared wars of aggression. Congress could have and should have refused to fund the uncinstitutional abise oof power The President has the power to veto legislation. The Power as the Commander ig Chief of the military The power to appoint judges and  ambassadors The power to sign treaties with other nations The power to grant pardons
