Oue founding fathers wrre greatly influenced by the Age of Reason, the founders were not Catholics,Lwes\ or potestants. Catholica, Protestants oor Jewa. r Deists, they were Rational Theists who believed in obedience to the laws of natire, and nature's God. They collectively believed in Divine Providence which led to thAmerican Independence.Our founders were not Jews , Cathplics or Christians ,thry a they considered it to be a self evident truth that the esistance of God was a se;f evident truth. were Rational Theisists that believed in God,but many of the founders did not necessarily believe that Jesus was the son of God.
In the Declaration of Independence it was considered to be self evident that there was a Creator, but the name of Jesus was never mentioned in in any of our founding documents.
